U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION ASSISTANT SECRETARY TO VISIT WISCONSIN'S GATEWAY TECHNICAL COLLEGE. - States News Service

WASHINGTON, DC -- The following information was released by the U.S. Department of Education:

Dr. Brenda Dann-Messier, assistant secretary for the Office of Vocational and Adult Education, will tour Wisconsin's Gateway Technical College campus facilities and meet with the Gateway Board of Trustees and local education officials on Monday, Oct. 18.

Dann-Messier plans to spend the morning visiting the college's key sites, including the Racine Campus Student Center in Racine, the Horizon Center for Transportation Technology in Kenosha and the Health and Emergency Response Occupations (HERO) Center in Burlington. There she will discuss Gateway's Career Pathways initiative, skills standards and certification, and community partnerships with education leaders and area school superintendents at 1 p.m. in an informal session.
